This is my first JavaFX 2.0 example that is developed on Mac, using the JavaFX 2.1 Developer Preview for Mac. To give an example I created a 3D spinning Neon Globe. I’d play much around with the JavaFX Transforms and Shapes to the create neon objects.
It would be good if the JavaFX team will include the other JavaFX 1.3 variant Shape like ShapeIntersect, ShapeSubtract and DelegateShape for the next releases of JavaFX.

You should have a look at Path.intersect Path.substract static method to build your custom shapes

Thanks Sébastien, but ShapeIntersect and ShapeSubtract in JavaFX 1.3.1 can have sequence of shapes that defines shape for “Parameter A” and “Parameter B”.

“Launch” button doesn’t work. What’s the problem?

Hello Mark ,
It’s good transformation with three logical spheres. I can see your technique it’s good . If you have taken all spheres event to be caught once something concept like ‘blockinmouse’ property to those three logical spheres then it would have become even more great more realistic and fantastic. Finally altogether it’s good.

Hi,
I’m interested in creating 3D globes in JavaFX.
Could you blog about the main steps how to create a 3D globe in JavaFX?
That would be great!
